Swim! ORIENTAL FIRE-BELLY TOAD(bombina orientalis): Fire belly-toads (or frogs) are little semi aquatic frogs from the family Discoglossidae. They grow to a length of 5cm(2in), it is called the fire-belly toad due to its black belly marked with bright red-orange colorations, its back is more camouflaged for bright green pondweed with balck blotches. These diurnal frogs are very active, they make good exhibts and are ideal for the amphibian beginner. These creature are found around China and Mongolia, frequent near almost any bodies of feshwater. Fire-belly toads require an aquaterrarium with a moderate ammount of space. The ratio of land to water should be about 2:1. temperares should be kept moderate (room temprature), as usual with Amphibians the cage should have some hiding places, where the frogs can seek refuge, this is when plants can come to agood use; the water depth does not not to exceed 7cm to be realistic. Fire-belly toads are quite voracious for their size, they can eat anything mealworms,crickets,earthworms and other small insects, yet always remember it is important to keep a balanced diet for any animal that you feed.
 RED-SPOTTED NEWT(Notophthalmus viridescens viridescens): This newt belongs to the Salamandridae family (the main newt family). Red-spotted newts grow to a length of 12cm (5in).This newt has a interesting life cycle, the terrestrial junveniles differ from the aquatic adults. Adults are smoothed-skinned and yellowish brown to olive brown above with dark-lined red spots aligned on the sides. The terrestrial juveniles, often called red efts, have reddish brown colour, the skin's texture is rough. the newts are found in eastern North USA, in aquatic or very moist habitats. the Newts require a fairly large aquaterrarium (assuming that they are kept in a group of 3 to 8), the ratio of water to land should depend on the life stage of the newt. Heating and lightning is not required. The Newts will thrive on a diet of mediem sized aqautic invetebrates or small crickets.
